Job overview

You will be managing the eCommerce trading and merchandiser teams to achieve Webshop & App business objectives, empowering team members to tackle challenges while ensuring alignment with key verticals such as Clusters/VG’s, eCommerce platform/IT, and data.

You mission also involves proactive performance oversight, cross-team collaboration, and delivering strategic insights to guide decision-making and optimize Webshop success. By maintaining a strong business focus and nurturing stakeholder relationships, the Commercial Performance Lead drives long-term growth for the direct eCommerce performance team.

What success will look like in two years:
 

  • Consistent achievement or surpassing of revenue and sales targets, with stable or increasing profit margins.
  • Product assortment and promotional strategies are data-driven, highly optimized, and aligned with customer preferences, resulting in increased conversion rates and reduced cart abandonment.
  • A fully empowered and high-performing eCommerce trading and merchandising team that can operate independently, innovate, and continuously improve processes.

Your day-to-day job

  • Manage and Coach the eCommerce trading team and merchandisers in becoming more effective to drive Business performance and personal growth while building a strong community with the team and the relevant Cluster/VG roles within the same domain. Fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to create a framework for forecasting revenue in alignment with finance, data and the markets to create a consistent growth plan across the relevant markets). 
  • Being on top of daily Business performance in close collaboration with the data specialists for the must win markets, identifying when off track, communicating this and defining structures to get back on track. 
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, optimize product assortment, and enhance promotional activities in alignment with business objectives
  • Deliver strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to guide decision-making and steer the direction of eCommerce activities by closely monitoring webshop performance metrics, identifying trends, and uncovering opportunities to achieve revenue targets. 
  • Simplify analyses as needed for senior management to facilitate understanding and support informed decision-making 
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vertical leads, regional teams and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment on strategies, objectives and collaborative ways of working
  • Identify and address obstacles faced by team members, providing support and resources to facilitate problem-solving and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports alongside other team pillars to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party tooling vendors in collaboration with eCommerce trading managers, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to business.

We are looking for

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in direct ecommerce, with a track record of delivering growth and omnichannel strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop eCommerce trading and merchandising teams, fostering a collaborative, empowered, and growth-focused culture (at least 2-3 years of management experience).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for motivating and guiding team members toward continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing revenue growth initiatives .
  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring performance metrics, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Skilled in simplifying complex analyses for senior management, ensuring clarity and effective decision-making.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to maintain alignment with vertical leads, regional teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare and present performance reports, highlight achievements, and make strategic recommendations.
